Disney plans for their next live-action venture
If Disney is in the business of turning all its animated films in live-action remakes, then needless to say, it should bring a lot of its original movies to life. Once of them is “Hercules,” and from recent reports, the story of the son of gods may actually be happening.
Recently, Disney has seen great success with its remakes of some of its bigger classic films, including “Aladdin,” “Dumbo,” and the upcoming remake of “The Lion King.” So the possibility of the company wanting to revisit the story of the half-man, half-god is nothing crazy and one that many would truly love to see on the big screen. (Imagine being able to see what Hades, Meg and Phil would look like in real life).
According to various reports, Disney is working on a live-action “Hercules” movie and is currently eyeing Alexandar Skarsgard for the role. Although the famous actor is on the “wish list,” the casting process has not begun.
Other than rumors and speculation, no further details of the film’s plot has been released yet. However, if the company is set to take on the project, we’re sure many fans will agree that Phil has to be played by Danny DeVito.
