There’s no place like home — especially if you’re the Tanner family returning to a familiar San Francisco facade for Netflix’s Fuller House. The first full trailer has officially dropped — and unlike the series’ brief, previous teasers, it features plenty of familiar Tanner family tomfoolery.
In the new series, DJ (Bure) moves back into her family home after her husband’s death. Though the trailer doesn’t give much detail about what happened to him, it’s emotional to see DJ grown up and struggling with raising her three sons. Stephanie (Sweetin) and Kimmy (Barber) are so moved by her plight that they decide to move in with her.
The clip is mainly nostalgic catchphrases and stock footage of family fun (did the Tanners always dance this much?), as well as Barber’s Kimmy trapped in the ’90s in a way that speaks to many of us on a spiritual level. But there’s an innocent joy to the proceedings which feels like the ultimate Full House tribute.
Fuller House hits Netflix Feb. 26.
