The best time of year to go surfing is referred to as “high season.” This means there isn’t a lot of chop. There are clean waves and reliable swells meaning you won’t be sitting on your board waiting for something to appear for hours. Surf season is dependent on the location. Wind speed, wind direction, and tide are extremely important features to determine whether or not it a good time to surf. Needless to say, it is also up to a surfer’s preference and skill.
