Homeland's Indian actor Nimrat Kaur stars in a new short romantic YouTube film

Homeland‘s Indian star Nimrat Kaur appears in a new short romantic film called The Road Trip about a stranded couple. It is the first in a series of six short YouTube films called Love Shots.

The 10-minute film revolves around the conversations between Kaur and Tahir Raj Bhasin who play a young couple who squabble after their car breaks down while they are driving to a weekend getaway. In contrast to the light-hearted banter in the beginning, the film climaxes with a dark twist. Kaur, the star of Bollywood films such as The Lunchbox and Airlift, continues to be in great form.

The film, like the rest of the anthology, ends with a song, “Life Changes Everyday”, which has been composed and sung by the director Ankur Tewari. “It is about realising the importance of the present. We forget to enjoy the moment as it happens,” Tewari told Mashable. “The song is also about seizing the moment that is in front of you.”

The Road Trip has been produced by Y-Films, the youth wing of one of India’s biggest film studios, Yash Raj Films. It will be followed by five more short films on romance, released every week on YouTube.
