Josh Gad Announces ‘Honey, I Shrunk The Kids’ Remake

Get ready to see a classic story come to the big screen in an all-new fresh reimagining! It has been reported that Josh Gad may star in a new version of “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” in which the reboot would simply be titled “Shrunk.”

It would be both a sequel and reboot to the original series, with Gad potentially playing Nick Szalinski, the now grown-up son of Rick Moranis’ character, Wayne Szalinski. Nick would, of course, 30 years later make the same mistake as his father, shrinking his kids.

Rumors are that the “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” reboot could go straight to Disney+, but other reports say that the film could be theatrical and that Disney is currently looking for directors.

A lot of films are being remade as of late and there are mixed reactions to all of them, but plenty of people are excited for a remake of “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” because it would incorporate modern technology and the enhanced practical effects from 30 years of filmmaking techniques being developed.

Moreover, the original film is an essential introduction to sci-fi, Rick Moranis, and the benefits, of course, the benefit of eating bananas.
