The new network deal will feature broadcast channels on Hulu including MTV Classic, BET, BET Her, MTV, MTV2, Comedy Central, TeenNick, NickToons, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., TV Land, Paramount Network, CMT, and VH1.
The new multi-year agreement also ensures subscribers will still have the option to add the premium Showtime option for Hulu + Live TV. The deal will also continue access to Pop Tv, the CW, the Smithsonian Channel, CBS Sports Network, and CBS for Hulu + Live TV subscribers.
This acquisition will expand Hulu to be one of the streaming platforms to offer more streaming options than the competition while offering the unique live TV feature that is limited to other services. This expansion is also good news for Hulu’s partner ViacomCBS to diversify their portfolio outside of traditional TV broadcast.
