Kate Hudson has shared the first look at her new baby girl! Hudson who gave birth on Tuesday, announced the birth her daughter Rani Rose Fujikawa in a sweet Instagram post. Hudson and partner Danny Fujikawa captioned the photo, “Our little rosebud.”
The actress explained the meaning behind Rani’s unique name. “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa,” Hudson wrote in an earlier post. “Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor.”
“Everyone is doing well and happy as can be,” Hudson added. “Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”
Hudson has two other children, Ryder Russell Robinson, 14, and Bingham Hawn Bellamy, 6, from two previous relationships with Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy, respectively.
Despite knowing each other for 15 years, Hudson and Fujikawa began dating a little over a year ago, and this will be the couple’s first child together. The two met through Huddon’s best friends, Sara and Erin Foster.
“We’ve known each other for 15 years. He’s my best friend’s stepbrother,” Hudson said in an interview. “We kinda skipped through the part of knowing what the hiccups were. You kinda skip the part of going, ‘Oh, you’re like that?’”
