Stop what you’re doing and get ready to pop some bubbly because Lady Gage has recently confirmed that she became engaged to Christian Carino. The pop star was rumored have been engaged since last November, but because she didn’t actually confirm or deny anything, the news eventually faded out.
Apparently though, the singer has been wearing the ring her fiancé gave her for months now. Fans and media outlets just never really noticed. Looking back, Gaga did actually flaunt the ring as she very clearly wore it to the Grammy Awards in January 2018. She was even wearing the ring during her very fashionable walks around New York City as well as the UK premiere of “A Star is Born.”
Honestly, how did we all miss the huge ring?
While Gaga hasn’t personally shared any specific details about the making of her ring, knowing the pop star, the ring did cost a small fortune. The ring, which is a 6-7 carat pink sapphire with a diamond halo totaling 3-4 carats, appears to have a value of roughly $400,000, according to Andrew Brown, president of WP Diamonds.
“This is likely a high quality, no heat (treatment), pink sapphire. It looks like it may be a Padparadscha sapphire, in which case this ring would easily retail between $300,000 and $400,000, ” Brown said in an interview with Elle.
What fans did notice however, was that the ring looked somewhat familiar. That may be because it looks a lot like Kate Middleton’s engagement ring, only pink. Lady Gaga’s ring is also pretty similar to Princess Eugenie’s ring, which is also pink, but slightly smaller.
Christian Carino, 49, sometimes referred to as Papa Monster because of his relationship with Mother Monster, is an agent with Creative Artists Agency, and has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Johnny Depp, and even Justin Bieber. He also happens to be Lady Gaga’s agent.
