Last year's iconic 'Mauka Mauka' ad is back in time for the India-Pakistan ICC World Cup T20 match

The iconic ‘Mauka Mauka’ advertisements from 2015 are back just in time for the highly-anticipated India-Pakistan ICC World Cup T20 clash on Mar. 19. The new ad takes the form of an appeal from a Pakistan fan to the team’s cricket captain Shahid Afridi to win.

Pakistan has lost to India in all the four encounters between the two teams in the T20 format until now. The fan, along with his son, urges Afridi to change this record in the fifth match on Saturday over a video call.

The ‘Mauka Mauka’ advertising campaign was created for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 by broadcaster Star Sports and quickly went viral. It featured a Pakistani cricket fan, known as the ‘Mauka Man’, and captured the intense excitement and fan frenzy surrounding cricket matches in india with a dash of humour. This year’s ads look all set to repeat 2015’s success.
