London’s Most Festive Pub Goes All Out For Christmas

It’s past Thanksgiving so we can all lose ourselves in the spirit of Christmas. Being the most wonderful time of year, many people enjoy drinking, but no pub seems to do Christmas like London’s Churchill Arms.

Every year, the pub gets all twinkly in time for Christmas. The London pub, built in 1750, is already known around the world for its beautiful foliage — during the summer, the building is decorated in bouquets and flower displays — but come Christmas, the Kensington boozer gets covered in Christmas trees and lights.

Its much-loved decorations have even earned the pub an award at The Chelsea Flower Show. During the 1800s, Winston Churchill’s grandparents regularly visited the pub, which is why there is an array of Churchill memorabilia inside its walls.

The pub also announced on Instagram that its freshly decked halls would be shared and celebrated on Nov. 24, when they officially turned on this year’s Christmas lights. In the Instagram post, Churchill Arms also claimed that this year’s display would be a record-breaker. In the past, their display included 18,000 Christmas trees, but this year, 21,500 lights and 95 trees lit up the pub.

So if you want to catch some festive feels, Churchill Arms in London is definitely a place to go. The pub is located at 19 Kensington Church St, W8 7LN.
