Miami traffic is already stressful, but what if you had the ability to throw red shells, bob-ombs or even blue shells just like in Mario Kart?
Well fans of the Nintendo game have a lot to be excited for because tickets are now on sale for a live-action Mario Kart event hosted by the Mushroom Rally, a go-kart racing event organization, which is not associated with Nintendo.
Miami is one of 16 cities to host the rally, which is based on the Nintendo’s Mario Kart racing games. Racers will be given costumes and get the chance to race against some of their favorite characters, including Mario, Luigi, Wario, Yoshi and more.
Miami’s especial Mario Kart event will take place June 1, 2019. The location is currently a secret and will be revealed at a later date, according to the website.
Racers with the fastest time from each city will be invited to the finals hosted in Las Vegas. As part of one of the objectives of the race, racers will have to pick up stars on the racecourse. The racer with the most stars will also get a chance to go to the finals.
Mario Kart, a spin-off game series from its trademark Super Mario, is a series of go-kart-style racing video games developed and published by Nintendo. The first in the series, Super Mario Kart, launched in 1992 on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System to critical and commercial success
Tickets are limited and can be purchased online for $55, so if you’re a fan of the Nintendo game, make sure to grab a ticket before they’re all sold out.
