Pixar To Debut New Feature Film Titled ‘Soul’

Pixar’s next animation project in the works

“Aladdin,” “Dumbo,” “The Lion King” and “Toy Story 4” – Disney and Pixar have certainly been on a roll this year with all their highly popular and highly anticipated live-action films and animations. But that’s not to say that 2019 is going to be the studio’s only golden year. Next year, the entertainment powerhouse will debut an original new Pixar movie titled “Soul.”

The announcement was made official and of course, details are synonymous with the Cosmos. According to the movie description released by Pixar, “One year from today, @Pixar Animation Studios will take you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions.”

Disney also tweeted out an official release date; “Soul” will open in theaters June 19, 2020. Another movie description for the film, as revealed in a press release, asks, “Ever wonder where your passion, your dreams and your interests come from? What is it that makes you… YOU?”

This is starting to sound a lot like Pixar’s last original film “Inside Out,” which brought a whole new meaning to emotions. “Soul” is being directed by “Inside Out” and “Up” veteran Peter Docter and Dana Murray of Lou will be producing the film.
