‘Moana’ may be making a come-back for sequel movie
Walt Disney Animation Studios is reportedly working on a sequel to its 2016 it “Moana.” Like most other Disney princesses, Moana is a strong-willed young girl who is determined to not let destiny control her but to have a part in controlling her own destiny.
The film “Moana” became famous not just for its positive and vibrant storyline but for its music, feature of people of color, and the eclectic characters. For those that have not seen the movie (or just as a reminder), Moana sets off on a quest with the help and guidance of the ocean to reunite an old relic with the goddess named Te Fiti after her island faces hardships and the prospect of starvation.
Moana goes against her father’s commands and sets sail in search of the demigod Maui to help her on her quest. During her journey, Moana not only restores the “heart of Te Fiti,” but she learns a lot about herself, her people, her abilities and her destiny.
With such success three years ago, it’s no wonder Disney wants to produce a follow-up film. It’s presumed that such a sequel would bring back the voice talents of those from the first film and feature Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Maui and Aul’i Cravalho as Moana.
However, no formal word on a storyline or possible release date has been unveiled yet.
