Actress Enters Shapewear Industry
“Modern Family” star, Sofia Vergara, 46, announced on Wednesday the launch of Comfort Shape, a size-inclusive shapewear line that is an addition to her existing underwear line with EBY.
“It’s super comfortable,” Vergara told People. “You don’t feel like you’re in a girdle or anything like that … It holds everything in without making you feel like you want to throw up!”
The shapewear, which is fitted with a high-waisted panel to smooth the stomach, will be available in a beige thong for sizes XS through XL, and a brief for sizes 1X to 4X. Each is priced at $32 with an EBY subscription. As of right now, the underwear is only available in nude, but there are plans to make the shapewear available in black as well.
The product is made with a lightweight fabric that utilizes EBY’s “flocking technology” to prevent any sliding or riding.
With the aim to include everyone, Vergara made sure to provide bigger and smaller sizes and know “what women needed.”
Vergara co-founded EBY with her friend and fellow Colombian Renata Black and spent the last year research and listening to her customers about what they wanted from their shapewear. After nine months of testing and fittings, Comfort Shape was born.
