Get Some Tissues For “Toy Story 4”
Better pack a pack of Kleenex or five because your favorite childhood toys are back for another round of adventure and tugging on your heartstrings.
Tom Hanks, who has voiced Sheriff Woody, the animated cowboy in the beloved Pixar franchise since 1995, said fans need to prepare themselves for an emotional ending when it all comes to an end in just a few weeks.
Tom Hanks appeared on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” on Wednesday and revealed that Tim Allen (the voice actor for the character Buzz Lightyear) warned Hanks that “Toy Story 4” would be a tear-jerker when he went to record his lines.
“This is the end of the series and I had gotten some texts from Tim Allen. These texts that say, ‘Have you recorded yet? Have you been in? Have you had a session yet?'” Hanks told DeGeneres. “I said, ‘No, not yet.’ [Allen says] ‘Wait until you see those last pages. Tough one, tough one.'”
“Toy Story 4” follows Woody’s (Tom Hanks) quest to find Forky after he escapes. The movie brings back everybody’s favorites: Buzz Lightyear, Rex, Slinky Dog, Hamm the Piggy Bank, Bo Peep, and Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head. The fourth installment will feature new characters including one called Duke Caboom that is voiced by Keanu Reeves.
“Toy Story 4” will be hitting theaters June 21 and you can check out the trailer in the video above.
