Miss International Queen Pagaent Hosts Transgender Contestants
Miss Tiffany’s Universe transgender beauty pageant in Pattaya, Thailand was held on July 20, and the event was Ruethaipreeya “Dear” Nuanglee, 27. She will now represent Thailand at the Miss International Queen 2020 with trans women contestants from around the world.
In an interview after being crowned, Nuanglee, who wore number 30 in the competition, said, that is has been her dream since childhood to compete and win the competition.
“Now that dream has come true,” Nuanglee said, “Everything has moved so quickly. I am feeling so proud. I am so thankful to all my friends, brothers and sisters that helped me through the difficult times.”
Nuanglee is currently studying at the Faculty of Liberal arts at the Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. Runners up include Thanyada “Name” Kanpaipuen, and contestant number 14, Patchara “ First” Sripattanakul.
Miss Tiffany Universe is a beauty contest for Thai transgender women. The contest has been around since 1984 and has become a globally known annual beauty pageant. The contest is open to all transgender women who may or may not undergone sex reassignment surgery.
Each woman displayed her own unique talent and ability and was judged based on their physical attributes as well as their overall performance in accordance with the feminine ideal.
