Woman Thinks She Has Kidney Stones, Only To Find Out She’s Going Into Labor With Triplets

She didn’t even know she was pregnant

Imagine going to the doctor thinking you have one issue but walking out with a completely different situation. A South Dakota mother was shocked to find the painful kidney stones she had been experiencing was actually her going into labor. She later went on to give a surprise birth of triplets.

Dannette Giltz, already a mother of two, said she was rushed to the hospital on Aug. 10 because of pains. Glitz told local news that she assumed they were merely kidney stones because she had gone through them before.

But to her surprise, upon inspection, the doctor told her she was going into labor, and that she should expect to have a newborn set of twins. Glitz’s husband Austin was in the middle of deciding what to name their new babies when someone at the hospital asked for a third blanket. This was an indication that a third baby was on the way.

The babies — two girls and a boy named Gypsy, Nikki, and Blaze — were born within four minutes of each other, and each weighed around 4 pounds.

Despite being surprised beyond measure, the husband and wife are thrilled and thankful for their family and friends. They even thanked strangers who donated supplies to them.
