Netflix Releases New Trailer For “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile”
A new extended trailer for Netflix’s Ted Bundy drama — titled “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” — gives a glimpse of Zac Efron’s take on the notorious serial killer. It also highlights Lily Collins’ performance as Bundy’s conflicted long-time girlfriend, Liz Kendall.
The trailer takes a somber and chilling approach, focusing on the “unspeakable horrors” that Ted Bundy wrought. Alongside the previous trailer that focused on Bundy’s charisma and charm, the two trailers juxtapose Bundy’s likable personality and nearly turned him into a celebrity with the horrible nature of his crimes.
A while back, Netflix released a series on Ted Bundy, titled “Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes,” which gained a lot of attention, especially from thousands of people were lusting over him on Twitter.
As a refresher, Ted Bundy was an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, burglar, and necrophile who assaulted and murdered numerous young women and girls during the 1970s. After more than a decade of denials, he finally confessed to killing 30 women between 1974 and 1978. The true number of victims is unknown and potentially much higher. Bundy garnered a lot of attention not just for his heinous crimes and good looks, but also from traits that he exploited to win the trust of his female victims.
“Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile” is set to premiere on Netflix on May 3.
