BTS Breaks Records For Ticket Sales
This just goes to show how powerful the K-pop industry and its fans can be when they band together in support and love for an artist.
K-pop is growing stronger than ever in the wake of BTS’ global success, and now the boys are heading out on their BTS World Tour: Love Yourself this summer. The South Korean idol group has dates across North America, Europe, and London’s Wembley Stadium. The tour also comes after BTS recently dropped their number one album Map of Soul: Persona, earlier in April.
With fans preparing for the concert, it is no wonder that the group’s tour tickets are in high demand. In fact, they are so in demand that BTS could be taking Drake’s crown as they have sold more tickets than the “God’s Plan” rapper, Ariana Grande and Spice girls so far this year.
According to data that shows ticket sales from January to April 2019, Drake is second place to Post Malone, Panic! At The Disco and Spice Girls, all of which mad the top five list. BTS surpassing Drake proves that K-pop is certainly having its shining moment in the music scene and is rising in popularity at an increasingly unstoppable rate.
