Demi Lovato is known for her amazing vocals and top pop hits that play on the radio on repeat, non-stop. But there’s another side to that story that we haven’t heard yet.
Demi Lovato is a survivor. She has struggled with drug abusive for years now. She was released from a treatment center shortly after living a sober and clean life for six years.
It wasn’t until her most recent struggles with life that she’s dipped back into that dark underworld of drugs. Last month, she released a song called “Sober” where she revealed she hadn’t been as clean as she might of hoped to be.
It all came crashing down on Tuesday, when reports came in suggesting that Demi Lovato was taken to an L.A. hospital to treat a heroin overdose. Demi was treated with Narcan, it’s an emergency treatment for narcotic overdoses, in her home.
It was confirmed by law enforcement the OD occurred at her house in the Hollywood Hills. Demi Lovato’s parents share their concerns and ask for privacy, thanking all her fans for supporting her in prayer with love and compassion.
They ask that Demi is given some time to gather herself after her most recent episode and battle with drug addiction. For more on Demi Lavato check out the video above.
