Demi Lovato has “truly turned her life around” following her overdose in July. Since being discharged from the hospital following her life threatening overdose in her LA home over the summer, the 26-year-old singer has been in rehab. She recently completed 90 days in the treatment facility, and sources say she’s “happy and healthy” and is working toward turning her life around.
According to an insider, Lovato is “happy and healthy has done a complete 180 since she overdosed. Her 90 days in rehab have truly turned her life around. She wants to remain out of rehab. She has a sober coach and a complete support system.”
Another source told “Entertainment Tonight” that “Demi has struggled for so long with addiction and her friends and family couldn’t be more proud of her work. This process has been incredibly beneficial to Demi in so many ways. She is not only clean and sober but she has an entirely new lifestyle.”
Back in August, the “Sober” singer took to Instagram to write a heartfelt message explaining that she needed to take some time away to “heal and focus” on her sobriety.
I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction,” Lovato wrote on Instagram back in July. “What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.” I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.”
