Henry Golding To Star In Paramount’s ‘G.I. Joe’ Spinoff ‘Snake Eyes’

New ‘G.I. Joe’ Spinoff Moving Coming

Henry Golding is in talks to appear in the new G.I. Joe spinoff “Snake Eyes.” If you’ve never heard of it before, the Snake Eyes character is completely unrecognizable, always covered head to toe in black, and is always silent as a mouse. So it’s a little funny that Hollywood’s best looking rising stars is currently in talks to take on a role where he may never show his face.

After rumors and reports on hashing out the details, it has officially been confirmed that the “Crazy Rich Asians” breakout actor Henry Golding will star in the popular commando from Paramount in partnership with Skydance and AllSpark Pictures.

Robert Schwentke, who worked on two installments of the Divergent franchise, is directing the action project. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner are among the producers.

Snake Eyes is the ninja commando that first appeared in the 1980s as part of Hasbro and Marvel Comics’ relaunch of the toy line, dubbed G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero.

Paramount has previously made two G.I. Joe movies — 2009’s “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” and 2013’s “G.I Joe: Retaliation” where acrobatic actor Ray Park played Snake Eyes in both films.
