Rapper Deactivates Profile Over Nude Photos Leaked
Celebrities are constantly being attacked and hacked because of their vulnerability and public image, and the latest celebrity to get ensnared in a scandal is none other than rapper Iggy Azalea. Azalea deactivated her Instagram and Twitter accounts after topless photos of her surfaced. The rapper said the unauthorized release of her photos left her feeling “violated.”
The images appeared online over the weekend, which was from a 2016 GQ magazine shot, according to Azalea in a since-deleted note on social media.
“There was no reason for anyone to have kept the outtakes from the shoot,” Azalea wrote. “I’m surprised and angry that they were not immediately deleted after the final images were selected.”
In response to the leaked photos, Azalea vowed legal action against whoever leaked the images.
“I fully intend on finding out where the leak originated from and pressing criminal charges in regards to this,” Azalea posted.
An investigation is currently underway to find out who stole the photos from the photographer that conducted the GQ shoot. Nino Munoz, the photographer behind the photoshoot, shared his response to the leak, saying that he was “outraged and saddened” by the theft and publication of the pictures.
Azalea concluded her statement saying that people should be “kinder to one another.”
