KFC collabs with Beyond Meat for meat-free fried chicken
Plant-based foods are on the rise and Beyond Meat is taking full advantage of showing just how delicious, healthy and popular their vegan meats can be.
Moreover, fast food chains want to get in on the meat alternatives to better cater to customers and provide a wider variety of food options. Recently, Beyond Meat and KFC announced that they are partnering together to test fried plant-based nuggets and boneless wings — Beyond Fried Chicken — at one Atlanta location on today, August 27th.
Customers will receive a free sample when they purchase something, and they will be asked to provide feedback. Their thoughts will “be considered as KFC evaluates a broader test or potential national rollout,” KFC told Bloomberg.
Not long ago, Burger King rolled out its Impossible Whopper to all of its U.S. stores, which was met with a lot of praise and excitement. Subway also announced plans to test the Beyond Meatball Marinara in 685 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada. Carl’s Jr. now sells a meatless burger made by Beyond Meat, and White Castle sells the Impossible Slider.
Beyond Meat is making a lot of headway in the food industry. Not only are their plant-based products being offered in restaurant chains, but they are also being sold in grocery stores. The company also shared plans to develop more meatless options, including ground beef.
